The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s security controls across MCA’s systems, client environments, and datacenter infrastructure. This role leads day-to-day security operations, vulnerability management, compliance support, and incident response efforts.As a managed service provider, maintaining a strong security posture is critical. This role works closely with Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Applications, and leadership to ensure security standards are consistently applied and continuously improved.Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Engineering
Implement and maintain endpoint, network, and datacenter security controls.
Manage vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking.
Oversee security monitoring and alert response (including SOC coordination).
Lead technical investigations for security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain hardening standards and access control policies.
Compliance & Risk Support
Support SOC audits, cyber insurance renewals, and compliance initiatives.
Conduct internal and external Security Risk Assessments (SRAs).
Maintain documentation, evidence collection, and policy updates.
Assist with incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
Infrastructure & Client Security
Secure servers, workstations, mobile devices, and virtual environments.
Partner with Infrastructure and Service teams to integrate security into operations.
Support client security questionnaires and pre-sales technical discussions.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Provide security guidance to technical teams.
Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen security posture.
Help foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
5–8+ years of experience in information security or IT infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with endpoint protection, SIEM/SOC tools, and vulnerability management.
Experience with SOC 2, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of identity and access management, network security, and incident response.
Experience supporting cyber insurance assessments.
Experience needed in the following:
EDR: Crowdstrike
EDR: Huntress
Vulnerability management: ConnectSecure
Vulnerability management: Tenable Nessus
RMM/PSA: Connectwise
Firewalls: Watchguard
Firewalls: Fortinet
Operating Systems: Windows Workstations, Windows Server
Cloud: VMware Private Cloud (On Prem)
Cloud: Hyper V Private Cloud (On Prem)
Cloud: Azure
Preferred
MSP or consulting experience.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or similar.
Experience supporting audit readiness and evidence collection.
Success Metrics
Reduced vulnerability exposure and improved remediation timelines.
Effective incident detection and response.
Successful audit support with minimal findings.
Improved security control maturity across endpoints and datacenter.
Strong collaboration across technical teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary starting at $85,000 depending on experience
2 weeks PTO
Hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 remote)
