Job Description:

The Senior Inventory Specialist is responsible for leading inventory execution, accuracy, and control activities, with primary ownership of inventory operations at the Atrisco warehouse. This role ensures disciplined inventory transactions, accurate inventory reporting, and effective physical inventory execution to support operational continuity and financial integrity. Acting as a key point of coordination for Atrisco warehouse inventory activities, the Senior Inventory Specialist proactively identifies risks, resolves discrepancies, and drives process improvements in partnership with Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting. Success in this role requires strong ownership, analytical judgment, and the ability to lead inventory activities and standards without direct supervisory responsibility. Occasional evening or weekend support may be required to support physical inventories or critical operational needs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead day‑to‑day inventory execution activities at the Atrisco warehouse, ensuring disciplined transaction processing and control compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for Atrisco inventory activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution
  • Execute, review, and validate complex inventory transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance
  • Proactively identify inventory risks, recurring errors, or process breakdowns and drive corrective actions
  • Perform advanced inventory analysis to support adjustments, reconciliations, and audit readiness
  • Lead root‑cause investigation of inventory variances and recommend sustainable process improvements
  • Act as a key liaison between Atrisco operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting on inventory‑related matters
  • Support material planning activities by providing accurate inventory visibility and risk awareness
  • Help establish and reinforce inventory process standards and best practices within the Atrisco warehouse
  • Protect company assets and confidential information while serving as a trusted inventory subject‑matter resource

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply chain management, Operations, Business, or other related fields
  • 4-7+ years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing warehouse
  • Proven experience supporting or leading cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, inventory controls, and audit readiness.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous data and systems analysis experience
  • Background in project accounting
  • SAP ERP/accounting software experience
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced, smaller company environment
  • Ability to work well independently under tight deadlines
