Primary Skills: Taxonomy Development (advanced), Metadata Management (advanced), Knowledge Architecture (advanced), IT Operations (advanced), Technical Writing (advanced) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 6+ Months Location: Fairfield, CA (#LI - Hybrid) Pay Range: $40-$45/Hr.#LPJob Summary: This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise taxonomy and classification model for all operational documentation to enhance searchability and reduce retrieval time during critical incidents. You will create standardization, governance, and integration processes to ensure knowledge remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with operational workflows and systems. The goal is to significantly improve the user experience for frontline operators, enabling them to quickly find the correct solutions during time-sensitive situations.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an enterprise taxonomy for operational instructions.
- Develop metadata standards, naming conventions, and versioning rules.
- Build and maintain a centralized catalog of NOC instructions and documentation.
- Establish governance processes for content lifecycle management.
- Align knowledge taxonomy with NOC workflows and operational systems.
- Experience designing taxonomies, metadata models, or knowledge architectures.
- Strong understanding of IT operations and incident management processes.
- Proficiency with documentation and knowledge management platforms.
