Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Materials, the Senior Manager, Warehousing & Logistics,is responsible for:

  • Transportation, receipt, storage, shipping and distribution of parts and materials, domestic and international

  • Receiving, storage, shipping and distribution of all aircraft parts and material in support of PHI’s Oil and Gas and Air Medical divisions

  • All stores/warehouse activities at Lafayette main base and international

  • Managing all third-party air and ground transportation requirements both domestic and international

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable for transportation of parts and materials from all vendors to ensure timely delivery at best value to PHI

  • Accountable to ensure efficient storage of parts and materialsas per PHI policies and applicable regulations

  • Accountable for efficient delivery, distribution of parts and material to meet PHI business and operating goals

  • Perform managing duties involved in scheduling, planning and organizing workloads

  • Administer ongoing training programs for assigned employees

  • Monitor all material processes to ensure compliance with regulatory materials

  • Approve assigned employees’ work times and schedules

  • Process all damage freight claims on inbound and outbound materials

  • Accountable for the PHI traffic management

  • Accountable for the safe operation of all sections to include the Receiving, Main Parts Stores, and ShippingResponsible for compliance with all safety management.

  • Monitor international parts and material movement to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance

  • Accountable for compliance with all regulatory requirements, GMM, Standard Operation Procedures and safety guidelines established by the company and SOX404 as

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive inventory control/management experience

  • Must have extensive knowledge of and business system support experience using ERP aviation systems solutions

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5 years’ leadership experience

  • Knowledge and application skills related to international logistics preferred

  • Experience conducting business internationally with respect to import/export regulations and tax

  • Demonstrates excellent management skills, advanced computer skills (specifically in Microsoft Excel), good writing and verbal communication skills

  • Able to develop team environment

  • Representing the company in a professional manner is essential

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
