Role Overview

Aeva is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Supply Management to lead the strategic sourcing and commercial management of all hardware commodities supporting our LiDAR platforms.

This leader will own the end-to-end supply strategy across multiple technologies including: Electronics (PCBAs, EE components), Mechanical components, Electromechanical assemblies, Silicon Photonics, Lasers and Optical Components, Semiconductors and ICs. Precision Manufacturing, and Contract Manufacturing Partners.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with exceptional commercial judgment and supplier relationship management. They will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Program Management to ensure Aeva launches industry-leading products with the right technology, cost structure, capacity, quality, and supply resilience.

This role is instrumental in building Aeva's global supply chain foundation as the company scales into automotive, industrial, and high-volume production environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies supporting current products and future technology roadmaps. Lead supplier selection through RFIs, RFQs, technical evaluations, and commercial negotiations.

  • Lead supply chain contract negotiations for: Master Supply Agreements (MSAs), Long-Term Supply Agreements (LTSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Pricing Agreements, Tooling Agreements, Capacity Reservations, Development Agreements, IP-related commercial terms, and Contract Manufacturing Agreements

  • Cost Leadership & Product Cost Management including Product Cost targets from development through Start of Production (SOP) and lifecycle production as well as multi-generation cost roadmaps supporting future product competitiveness.

  • Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Management with appropriate dual sourcing, geographic diversification, and risk mitigation strategies. Evaluate supplier financial health, manufacturing readiness, capacity constraints, and geopolitical risks.

  • Supplier Relationship Management including Periodic Business Reviews (such as QBRs), executive business reviews, and supplier performance management.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or global supply management experience within high-technology manufacturing.

  • Experience sourcing complex hardware in one or more of the following: Silicon Photonics, Optics, Lasers, Semiconductors, Electronics, Precision Mechanical Components, and Contract Manufacturing

  • Proven experience leading complex global sourcing initiatives from concept through production.

  • Strong commercial negotiation skills with demonstrated success negotiating multi-million-dollar global supply agreements.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and supplier economics.

  • Expertise in should-cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), clean-sheet costing, and value engineering.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain risk management, business continuity planning, and supplier diversification.

  • Experience supporting automotive, industrial, robotics, consumer electronics, or other high-reliability products.

  • Excellent executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves:

  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience supporting automotive APQP, PPAP, and product launch processes.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor foundries, OSATs, silicon photonics manufacturing, precision optics, and advanced electronics supply chains.

  • Experience building supply chains from early development through production scale.

  • Knowledge of international trade, tariffs, logistics, and global manufacturing ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making through data-driven commercial recommendations.

  • Experience leading and developing Global Supply Managers, Commodity Managers, or Strategic Sourcing professionals.

  • Strong track record of leveraging supplier innovation to create competitive advantage and accelerate product development.

  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% based on business needs.

Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
