The Senior Manager, Family Office serves as a strategic advisor to high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and multi‑entity structures. This role oversees the delivery of comprehensive family office services-including accounting, reporting, cash flow management, entity administration, and special projects-while leading and developing a high-performing team. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and proactive solutions that support long-term financial stewardship.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client liaison, developing strong, trusted relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals and family stakeholders.

  • Read, prioritize, and respond to client and vendor communications; ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.

  • Coordinate and participate in client meetings; lead discussions on financial performance, reporting, and planning needs.

  • Support business development efforts and contribute to the growth of the Family Office practice.

  • Review and approve client invoices and ensure timely bill payments through accounting systems.

  • Oversee and validate wire transfers for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

  • Review general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare or review financial statements and deliver high-quality reporting packages.

  • Review annual 1099 filings, payroll tax returns, and year-end tax packages prepared for tax partners.

  • Review and support filings for city business licenses, Secretary of State Statements of Information, and Business Personal Property returns.

  • Work closely with team members to prepare supporting documentation for tax examinations and audits.

  • Collaborate with property & casualty insurance brokers, including review of coverage, renewals, and workers' compensation audits.

  • Assist with client medical insurance reimbursement processes, as needed.

  • Communicate with team members and vendors to resolve billing inquiries.

  • Lead or contribute to client-requested projects such as real estate acquisitions or leases, insurance policy reviews, loan applications, investment subscription documents, and other personal or family office matters.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and enhancements to client service delivery.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, providing feedback, coaching, and support for professional growth.

  • Manage team capacity, delegate work effectively, and foster a collaborative, high-trust environment.

  • Promote best practices, quality control, and adherence to firm processes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally serving high‑net‑worth clients, family offices, or multi‑entity environments.

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, including coaching and developing team members.

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and cash management.

  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFP, or other relevant certifications.

  • Experience in family office, business management, wealth management, or professional services.

  • Exposure to investment reporting, alternative investments, trust/estate accounting, or complex entity structures.

  • Strong business and operational acumen; ability to recommend process improvements and contribute to practice growth.

  • Experience collaborating with external advisors, including tax, legal, insurance, and investment professionals.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $97,100 - $138,200. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents the compensation range for this position: $106,800 - $145,400. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $111,600 - $152,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
