Senior Manager, Media Transformation

The Senior Manager, Media Transformation helps drive the evolution of Best Buy's media operating model across enterprise marketing and Best Buy Ads. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to improve media operations, streamline workflows, and scale capabilities through automation, process optimization, and technology adoption. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across media, marketing, product, technology, analytics, agencies, and advertising teams, this leader will help deliver a more efficient, effective, and data-driven media organization.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

• Lead and support transformation initiatives across media planning, buying, trafficking, reporting, optimization, billing, and ad operations to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, standardize processes, and implement automation solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and speed to market.
• Partner with media, product, technology, analytics, and agency teams to support adoption of new platforms, integrations, and operating models across enterprise and retail media businesses.
• Develop and maintain governance frameworks, process documentation, and standard operating procedures that create consistency across media channels and teams.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide operational leadership for media platforms, agency management, budget processes, ad operations, and continuous improvement efforts.

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in media operations, ad operations, media planning and buying, marketing operations, or related fields.
• 3+ years of direct and/or indirect leadership experience to include strong cross functional skills.
• 3+ years experience working with marketing workflow SAAS (examples include, click up, salesforce media cloud, media ocean, placements.io, Monday.com, etc).
• Experience leading process improvement, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience implementing automation, workflow management, or media operations platforms.
• Experience in retail media, ecommerce, advertising, or marketing organizations.
• Knowledge of ad operations, campaign trafficking, media measurement, and optimization processes.
• Experience managing agency and vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical, change management, and stakeholder influence skills.
