Job Description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

  • Process Automation: Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and close efficiency using modern finance tools.

  • Internal Controls & SOX: Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting, including control design, documentation, and remediation of deficiencies.

  • Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal auditors, managing the relationship and ensuring audit readiness.

  • Team Development: Lead and develop a team of corporate accounting professionals, providing oversight, coaching, and performance management.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Education & Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA are required.

  • Experience: 8+ years of prior work experience; public accounting experience is highly preferred.

  • Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.

  • Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Builder Mindset: Proven success in creating efficiencies, systems, and controls in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

  • Industry Context: Experience with complex legal/reporting structures; real estate or data center industry experience is a significant plus.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Direct experience implementing or managing modern finance stacks and AI-enabled accounting tools.

  • Experience navigating the transition from a private to a public company reporting environment.
