  • Establish and continuously improve a standardized, disciplined SIOP process aligned to business growth and operational needs.
  • Drive alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, and financial targets.

Demand & Supply Planning Integration

  • Partner with Sales and Product Management to develop accurate demand forecasts, including pipeline analysis and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to translate demand into feasible production and procurement plans.
  • Balance capacity constraints, lead times, and inventory strategies to optimize service levels and cost.

Inventory Optimization

  • Develop inventory strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining service levels.
  • Establish target inventory levels, safety stock policies, and planning parameters.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in inventory turns, working capital, and material availability.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the primary point of integration between Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Facilitate decision-making by surfacing trade-offs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.

Data, Analytics & Systems

  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for key SIOP metrics (forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, backlog health, inventory performance, capacity utilization).
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems and planning tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive data integrity and standardization across planning inputs.

Risk Management & Scenario Planning

  • Identify risks related to demand volatility, supply constraints, and capacity limitations.
  • Lead scenario planning and contingency planning efforts.
  • Proactively escalate issues and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build and develop SIOP/planning capabilities within the site.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to planners or analysts (if applicable).
  • Drive a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

  • SIOP Process Maturity and Adoption

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 8-12+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, or operations roles, with at least 3-5 years in SIOP leadership.
  • Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing (optics, photonics, aerospace/defense, or similar preferred).
  • Proven track record of implementing or maturing SIOP processes in a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
