Job Description

Recorded Future is seeking a strategic and technical leader to drive the design and development of our world-class cybersecurity educational content. As the Sr. Manager of Technical Training Development, you will lead a specialized team of instructional designers and content developers to build highly technical learning experiences that address the evolving threat landscape. You will be responsible for translating our product roadmap into scalable asynchronous (eLearning) and synchronous (VILT/ILT) training content, ensuring our users and partners are equipped to defend against modern cyber threats.

What You'll Do:

  • Cybersecurity Content Development Strategy: Oversee the development of technical curricula covering complex topics such as Vulnerability Management, Automated Security Intelligence (ASI), and incident response as guided by team OKRs and Roadmap.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of content developers. Manage resource allocation and project timelines to meet the roadmap set by the Head of Product Education.
  • End-to-End Development: Manage all course development activities, including program planning, project management, and quality control for both self-paced eLearning and instructor-led training.
  • SME & Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between the education team and subject matter experts (SMEs) in Engineering, Security Research, and Product Management to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Quarterback a Customer Outreach Program to gather feedback on content effectiveness. Use these insights to drive continuous improvement and iterate on existing training modules.
  • Standards & Quality Control: Maintain and update all standards documents, including style guides and technical lab configurations, to ensure a consistent and premium learning experience.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure the team meets all delivery milestones for new product releases and zero-day threat responses.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the training delivery and operations teams to guarantee that content is reviewed, finalized, and published promptly and to a high standard of quality.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 8+ years in technical training or instructional design, with 3+ years specifically leading a content development team in a cybersecurity or high-tech SaaS environment.
  • Program & Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-modal content projects using Agile or similar methodologies.
  • Learning Tools Mastery: Expert knowledge of modern authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate) and experience managing technical hands-on lab environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional skill in translating cybersecurity concepts into digestible, actionable content for both novices and advanced practitioners. High proficiency in general verbal and written communications.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise (nice to have): Understanding (through experience or education) of core cybersecurity principles, including networking, cloud security, and threat intelligence.
