The Senior Manager, Finance will be based in the Marlborough manufacturing facility and will provide strategic and tactical financial leadership, with a small team, for multiple manufacturing sites (Marlborough, Rancho, Estonia, Bridgewater). This position will be managing all aspects of the manufacturing sites financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while collaborating with plant leadership to optimize costs and improve operational performance. This leader will support factory operations as a day-to-day finance support, while attending Gemba walks, site tier meetings, and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement; support ongoing factory operations with reporting, variance analysis, and problem-solving; drive improvements to factory operations & profits; help prepare forecasts and budgets for the factory; and ensure inventory and related cost of sales are accurately stated for the respective manufacturing sites. Furthermore, the Senior Manager of Finance Operations will serve as the primary operations partner to the Network Operations leader, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making, operational efficiency and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a dedicated finance business partner to the Operations leaders and the site, with constant daily site connectivity to operations to drive problem solving and turn analytics into insights
  • Provide financial insights and analysis for the plant and manufacturing networks to support strategic decision-making and investment prioritization
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiency. Own in partnership with sites: Output plan, cost targets, inventory, CAPEX, RPS
  • Establish, monitor and analyze plant performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Follow standard plant and network reporting and processes to drive actions and insights, including utilization, scrap, OT, yield, production variances, plant performance
  • Accountable for site operations budget, actuals, and forecast setting, including reserves, variances, revaluations, and partnering with the FPA team on complete plant budgets
  • Collaborate with Operations Leader, Supply Chain Leader and other senior site managers to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and participate in strategic site discussions and decisions
  • Partner with Sourcing/Procurement and RPS teams to drive cost savings and validate projects
  • Utilize the profit bridge to understand operational performance, Productivity drivers, and leakage, to drive actionable insight
  • Perform special ad hoc analysis and projects, as requested
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2-3 individuals; driving expectations; coaching for continuous improvement; regular 1 on 1's; recognize the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 7-10 years of accounting or finance experience required in manufacturing companies
  • MBA or CPA / Chartered Accountants license preferred
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Self-starter with ability to manage work autonomously with strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines
  • Familiar with ERP software as well as accounting/auditing principles (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Effective (clear and concise) communication skills and ability to work closely with global colleagues
  • Indirect influence with the ability to drive change inside the organization and play the devil's advocate as necessary

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $132,700 -203,000.00 Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts.
