  • Build credibility by explaining what the data can and cannot answer, educating teams on methodology, and maintaining transparency about trade-offs
  • Uncover the "why" behind performance trends
  • Own recurring metrics that matter: Rx volume, patient flow, reimbursement approval rates, demand shipments, channel mix
  • Support executive presentations for earnings calls, board meetings, and investor events-distilling complex analyses into clear visuals with actionable takeaways
  • Write efficient SQL queries against Snowflake databases (claims, pharmacy feeds, CRM data) to extract and harmonize large commercial and patient datasets
  • Design and automate Power BI dashboards that give real-time visibility into performance
  • Use Python for exploratory analysis-testing hypotheses, identifying opportunities and risks, automating repetitive reporting
  • Document your work and champion best practices in data quality, version control, and peer review

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer/Data Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 6+ years in pharma/healthcare analytics or BI, ideally with exposure to specialty pharmacy data, reimbursement dynamics, and rare-disease commercialization

  • Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, window functions, query optimization)
  • Expert-level Power BI or Tableau skills for dashboard development
  • Strong Python capabilities for data wrangling and exploratory analysis (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Plotly/Matplotlib)
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate workflows-using LLMs for hypothesis generation, code review, documentation, and scenario testing while maintaining critical judgment on outputs
  • Track record of managing multiple high-priority projects in fast-paced launch environments
  • Ability to build trust with senior stakeholders, diplomatically negotiate priorities, and deliver difficult messages when needed
