Senior Manager, Controls Transformation – Enterprise Business ServicesAbout the Team As part of the AI Transformation &Controls team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Walmart maintains effective internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). You’ll collaborate closely with Internal Audit, Global Internal Controls (GIC) and Ernst & Young (EY), to advance automation and analytics under the Digital Accountant initiative — transforming how we manage compliance in a digital environment. What You’ll Do

• Partner with GIC to align on risk assessment, SOX scope, and control methodology; ensure EBS controls comply with Walmart’s enterprise governance standards.
• Coordinate with EY on testing strategy, sample selections, and evidence walkthroughs; manage resolution and closure of audit findings.
• Advance Digital Accountant automation by identifying controls suitable for digitization and embedding analytics and workflow tools to streamline audit processes.
• Mentor and lead EBS team members in controls methodology, control design, and continuous improvement practices.
• Drive collaboration across Finance, Controllership, and Tech to integrate controls into new digital workflows and process automation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in audit, SOX compliance, or internal controls.
• Strong understanding of SOX 302/404, COSO framework, and PCAOB standards.
• Experience leading in matrixed or multinational teams.
• Proven ability to collaborate with external auditors (EY) and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
• Familiarity with SAP, BlackLine, or AuditBoard.
• Experience with automation and analytics tools 
• Exposure to large-scale financial transformation or digital compliance initiatives.
