What you'll do...
Sam’s Club Member Access Platform (MAP) is redefining how brands connect with our members through meaningful, measurable advertising experiences. We’re seeking a Sr. Manager of Process Innovation to lead strategic modernization efforts across our advertising operations ecosystem. This role will drive the next wave of innovation in retail media: transforming workflows, integrating AI-driven tools, and shaping the technology vision that powers the future of Sam’s Club MAP.This is a high-impact, highly visible role that is expected to drive significant cross-functional influence. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders across Sales, Product, Engineering, Merchandising, and advertiser teams to design best-in-class systems that improve speed, scalability, and member experience. What You’ll Do- Reimagine Advertising Workflows: Redesign and streamline key ad platform processes, including order management systems, to improve scalability, automation, and efficiency.
- Drive AI Agent Adoption: Lead the implementation and expansion of key agents to accelerate workflows. Identify impactful use cases, define business requirements, and ensure measurable improvements in operational efficiency and partner experience.
- Build Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product, Engineering, Media Activation, Sales, Yield, and Trafficking teams to align business and technical priorities. Translate business challenges into actionable technology solutions and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Champion Process Modernization: Design, test, and scale best-in-class automation and workflow tools that accelerate MAP operations and enhance delivery quality.
- Establish Scalable Best Practices: Create and maintain standardized processes, automation playbooks, and process documentation to ensure repeatability and operational consistency.
- Influence Through Innovation: Engage senior leaders to shape MAP’s 3-year technology needs for MAP. Advocate for first-in-class tools and approaches that position Sam’s Club as a leader in retail media innovation.
- Create Memorable Member Experiences: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that innovations are grounded in creating meaningful, measurable experiences for Sam’s Club members and advertisers.
- 7+ years of experience in digital advertising, retail media, ad operations, or product/process innovation.
- Strong background in process transformation, automation, or workflow optimization, ideally within technology-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, driving alignment across Product, Engineering, and Business teams without direct authority.
- Deep curiosity about emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and workflow orchestration, and their application to marketing and retail media.
- Proven experience implementing AI-driven tools or intelligent automation solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Strong understanding of ad technology ecosystems (e.g., ad servers, OMS, SSPs, DSPs, analytics).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas for senior leaders.
- Strategic mindset with a bias for action — comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast to test, learn, and iterate.
