About the Role

As the Senior Manager, Enterprise Finance & Analytics at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting enterprise-wide financial planning, executive reporting, operational analytics, and finance modernization initiatives. This position combines financial analysis, executive communication, process improvement, and cross-functional business partnership to help drive strategic decision-making across a complex manufacturing organization.

You will collaborate closely with finance leadership, operational leaders, treasury, accounting, and business unit finance teams to improve forecasting capabilities, enhance reporting processes, and develop scalable analytics across the enterprise. This is an onsite role located in Chicago, IL.

This role is perfect for someone who is intellectually curious, analytically driven, operationally minded, and passionate about building and modernizing finance capabilities within a dynamic industrial organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Support enterprise forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes to drive informed business decisions.

  • Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities.

  • Analyze operational and financial performance trends across business units and identify key business drivers.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding financial performance, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.

  • Support preparation of materials for executive leadership, lenders, boards of directors, pension committees, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop clear, concise analyses and presentations that translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.

  • Enhance consistency, scalability, and efficiency of recurring financial reporting processes.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance workflows and reporting activities.

  • Partner with finance, IT, and operational teams to improve data accessibility, reporting capabilities, and analytics infrastructure.

  • Support the development of enterprise dashboards, KPI frameworks, and business intelligence tools.

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, automation tools, and AI-enabled finance processes.

  • Collaborate with operational finance, treasury, accounting, and business leaders across the organization.

  • Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, commercial drivers, and operational performance metrics.

  • Participate in plant visits and operational reviews to strengthen business partnerships and financial insight.

  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required.

  • 4–8 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, consulting, or other analytical roles.

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive reporting skills.

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand business operations beyond financial results.

  • Experience working with large data sets, financial systems, and business analytics tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms preferred.

  • Manufacturing, industrial, or operational business experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.

Annual Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000
