About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a candidate to join our NEXUS Data Domain Stewardship (NDDS) team within Market and Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM). This role is well suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of market and/or counterparty risk. In this role, you will monitor, remediate, and govern critical data elements for traded products and support essential reference data (including customer and securities data). Success in this position requires strong data management fundamentals and hands-on SQL skills to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective remediation. You will partner regularly with internal teams, line-of-business data partners, and technology stakeholders to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timely risk and regulatory reporting.

A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in data management (data quality, controls, reconciliation, and issue remediation) and intermediate/advanced SQL (writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries) to investigate data issues and support reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute daily tactical data remediation, including advanced SQL-based analysis, to resolve data-quality issues that impact risk calculations and reporting.

  • Lead or contribute to strategic data remediation initiatives aimed at addressing root causes and strengthening long-term data quality.

  • Design, enhance, and monitor data management controls to proactively identify, escalate, and resolve data issues.

  • Ensure accurate, timely risk and regulatory reporting through strong data governance and disciplined data-quality practices.

  • Partner closely with business, data, and technology stakeholders across MCRM and the broader organization to drive effective outcomes.

  • Support the migration of the primary data aggregation and reporting platform from SQL Server to Dremio, including validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting outputs.

  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for technology releases, validating data integrity and helping ensure a smooth platform transition.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • 2+ years of SQL experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Data Management, including data quality, controls, and governance.

  • Experience in Market and Counterparty Risk Management, supporting risk measurement, reporting, and analytics.

  • Strong understanding of Derivatives and Securities Financing Transactions (SFTs) and their risk and data implications.
