Description

This Senior Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity in Lincoln, AL is with an innovative, fast-growing transportation logistics manufacturer specializing in advanced vehicle transport systems and custom mobility solutions. This is an exciting chance to join a young North American operation with global backing, strong benefits, and the opportunity to improve and support complex mechanical systems used in the vehicle transportation industry.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position include:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required, with 5–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering or manufacturing design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, or similar design software.
Strong background in mechanical system design, CAD/PLM systems, technical documentation, and product development support.
Automotive, transportation equipment, trailer, car hauler, vehicle frame, high-strength steel, or aluminum fabrication experience strongly preferred.
Support and improve existing mechanical systems while contributing to future new product development projects.
Apply APQP processes including DFMEA, MSA, control plans, feasibility studies, and related quality procedures.
Create and maintain bills of materials, assembly drawings, detailed drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, purchasing, supply chain, after-sales service, suppliers, and customers.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
