ASRC Federal NetCentric Technologies (NetC) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our contract at Kirtland AFB (KAFB) in Albuquerque, New Mexico
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will support the sustainment of mission critical facilities and infrastructure at Kirtland AFB to ensure our customer's continues mission success.
This position prepares design documentation to include, but not limited to: statements of work, specifications, drawings, sketches, calculations and building code references.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate and recommend approval of submittals and provide technical approach assessments.
Utilize mathematical skills to perform calculations in support of HVAC and plumbing design work.
Formulate and recommend new or corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
Work closely with Government business teams, collaborating across client organizations with interconnected requirements, requiring integration.
Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering and identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex data sets.
Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products.
Develop creative and innovative solutions to client issues and project approaches.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.
Ability to obtain professional registration as an engineer or as an architect in one of the US states or territories within one year of hire date.
Three years' experience in facility and infrastructure engineering.
Must possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to prepare presentations for and brief customer leadership.
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must be capable of working with customers and employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Currently possess a professional engineer (PE) license in one of the US states or territories.
Five years' experience working in the engineering section at a major military installation, preferably a US Air Force base to include facilities and infrastructure.
