About the role:

As a Senior Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer you will responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).

You will report to the Engineering Manager of Loss Of Coolant Accident Safety Analysis. and be located at Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid; you will work a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
  • Use statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and contribute to development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents
  • Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis
  • Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting
  • Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA specific inquiries from both internal and external customers
  • Mentor newer engineers
  • Identify and suggest process improvements
  • Participate on project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimates

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of applicable Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Nuclear
  • Mechanical
  • Chemical
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations, etc.
  • Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit

Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
