The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking Senior Paralegal professionals to support the Department of Justice at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact litigation matters in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor, supporting attorneys with complex litigation matters.

  • Prepare, compile, and summarize legal materials for discovery, motions, briefs, and other case-related documents.

  • Review and analyze case materials to identify inconsistencies, key facts, and areas requiring further investigation.

  • Conduct moderately complex legal research and draft preliminary legal memoranda and correspondence.​

  • Summarize depositions, hearings, and oral arguments for attorney review and case preparation.

  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and proper document management throughout the litigation process.

  • Track, index, and manage discovery materials, including documents produced and received during discovery.

  • Coordinate and maintain exhibits and supporting materials for depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.

  • Develop work products with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with established guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.

  • At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year of experience in automated litigation support

  • Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.

  • Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

  • Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure.

  • DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US citizenship required)

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.​

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$31.69
