About the Opportunity
A well-established Manhattan law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join its practice in Manhattan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys taking ownership of their work, managing multiple matters, and working in a fast-paced legal environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and other legal professionals while taking a key role in managing a significant caseload.
What You'll Do
Manage and coordinate a high-volume caseload involving commercial property tax matters.
Assist attorneys with pleadings, filings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Collect, review, and organize property, assessment, and valuation information.
Track case activity, deadlines, and required filings to keep matters moving forward.
Prepare and coordinate documents that require accuracy and compliance with specific filing procedures.
Independently manage deadlines and competing priorities while knowing when to bring issues to an attorney's attention.
Serve as a resource to other paralegals regarding procedures, workflow, and case-related questions.
Communicate with attorneys, clients, and other parties as needed.
Work additional hours when necessary to meet important deadlines.
Assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of paralegal or comparable legal support experience.
Experience in commercial real estate, property tax, litigation, or a related practice is preferred.
