The position is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality support, equitable workload distribution, and alignment across offices and practice areas.The Manager will play a critical leadership role in mentoring professionals, developing career pathways, and enhancing team performance, while also driving innovation through improved systems, technology, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, this role oversees workflow coordination and resource management, including staffing and assignment processes, to promote transparency, optimize utilization, and strengthen overall client service delivery.The ideal candidate brings deep paralegal experience combined with a forward-thinking, operational mindset.   • * Strategic Leadership & Team Management
  • * Lead and manage a multi-office team of ~15 paralegals, legal assistants, and docketing professionals
  • * Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight across all levels of experience
  • * Drive firmwide consistency in service delivery, quality standards, and operational processes
  • * Build and maintain a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative support culture
  • * Oversee annual performance evaluations, compensation recommendations, and internal equity alignment
  • * Develop and implement structured career ladders, competency frameworks, and advancement pathways

  • * Resource Management & Operational Strategy
  • * Own firmwide staffing strategy, workload distribution, and utilization management across seven offices
  • * Partner with practice group leaders to anticipate demand, manage capacity, and resolve workflow bottlenecks
  • * Monitor attorney and paralegal utilization, productivity, and workload balance using data-driven tools
  • * Develop and maintain systems for assignment tracking, transparency, and resource forecasting
  • * Lead short- and long-term staffing decisions in collaboration with leadership and finance teams
  • * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and client service through optimized resource deployment

  • * Oversee docketing operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all court and client deadlines
  • * Maintain consistent standards for calendaring, filings, and procedural tracking across offices
  • * Partner with teams to strengthen risk management practices and reduce operational exposure
  • * Evaluate and implement improvements in docketing systems and legal workflow processes

  • * Develop and present utilization, staffing, and performance reports to firm leadership on a regular basis
  • * Build dashboards and reporting tools to track productivity, workload distribution, and resource efficiency

  • * Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting systems

  • * Lead adoption and optimization of legal technology platforms, workflow automation tools, and reporting systems

  • * Collaborate with IT and operations teams to improve systems integration and efficiency

  • * Qualifications
  • * Bachelor’s degree required
  • * Paralegal certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • * Minimum 6+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm environment
  • * Minimum 3+ years of management or supervisory experience leading legal support teams
  • * Experience in multi-office or distributed team environments strongly preferred
  • * Strong background in resource management, staffing coordination, and legal operations
  • * Advanced experience with utilization tracking, reporting, and performance metrics
  • * Proficiency with legal technology platforms and workflow systems (case management, docketing, reporting tools)
  • * Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage all levels of attorneys and leadership
