Senior Payroll Coordinator – Deliver Accuracy, Compliance & Confidence Across Complex Payroll Operations
Are you a payroll expert who thrives in complexity and precision? Join The Pasha Group as a Senior Payroll Coordinator, where your deep expertise in multi-state, multi-union payroll will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely pay for employees across multiple employer entities.

In this senior-level role, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert, independently managing full-cycle payroll processing while resolving escalated issues, strengthening controls, and driving continuous improvement across payroll operations.
Own End-to-End Payroll ExcellenceTake accountability for complex payroll execution and validation across diverse populations and pay structures.
  • Execute Full-Cycle Payroll: Independently perform processing, auditing, reconciliation, and distribution using integrated HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Apply Expertise with Precision: Interpret and apply federal and state payroll tax laws, collective bargaining agreements, and corporate policies accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Conduct routine and advanced audits of wages, taxes, benefits, accruals, and reporting outcomes to validate accuracy against expected results.
  • Manage Compliance: Coordinate wage garnishments, union dues, benefit trust payments, retirement remittances, and statutory reporting.
Resolve Issues & Support the BusinessServe as a trusted payroll partner to employees, managers, and leadership.
  • Handle Escalations: Resolve routine, complex, and escalated payroll issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Provide Clear Guidance: Support employees and managers with time reporting, payroll self-service tools, pay statements, and tax documents.
  • Train & Enable: Deliver written and verbal training on payroll systems, processes, and best practices to employees and departmental staff.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure accurate, current electronic and physical payroll records and audit-ready files.
Drive Process Improvement & QualityStrengthen payroll operations through disciplined controls and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze & Report: Prepare payroll metrics, reports, analysis, and research to support informed decision-making.
  • Improve Controls: Review existing processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Build Knowledge Assets: Create, test, and maintain work instructions aligned with Quality System requirements.
  • Lead Special Projects: Support audits, data requests, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
What You BringYou combine technical payroll expertise with sound judgment and a service mindset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification preferred
  • 3+ years of recent payroll processing experience in multi-state and/or union environments
  • Strong experience with audits, analytics, and complex payroll scenarios
  • Hands-on experience with UKG/UltiPro and/or ADP Workforce Now and Kronos Workforce Ready strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; intermediate proficiency in Word and Outlook
