Job Description

Job Title: Senior PCB Design Engineer / level 4Location: Tualatin, OR (100% Onsite)Duration: 12 Months ContractPay Range: $90.00 to $100.00 per hour on W2 Organization & Role:
  • The Client's NBU PCB Design Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and technically driven Senior PCB Design Engineer to focus on the development of PCB designs for products within the division.
  • This role operates in a dynamic and collaborative multi site development environment, working closely with cross functional engineering teams from concept through manufacturing release.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in PCB layout and automated test systems
  • Proficiency with Client Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Cadence PCB design tools
  • Extensive hands on experience using Cadence Allegro tools, including:
  • Allegro PCB Editor (17.2, 23.1)
  • OrCAD Capture
  • Experience with Gerber and ODB++ verification and review tools for pre fabrication checks (e.g., ViewMate, Valor)
  • Strong experience with high speed PCB design, including:
  • Controlled impedance routing
  • Differential pair routing
  • Length matching and timing constraints
  • Controlled impedance stack up creation
  • Signal integrity considerations
  • Ability to set layout standards and promote best practices within the PCB design team
  • Take technical ownership of layout quality, schedules, and deliverables
  • Ability to work on complex PCB designs with minimal supervision
Role Overview and Duties:
  • Create schematics based on customer defined and system level specifications
  • Develop component logical symbols and PCB footprints
  • Set up Constraint Manager electrical, physical, and DFM design rules
  • Perform routing assessments and project feasibility studies
  • Define assembly specifications and documentation
  • Create assembly and test packages for manufacturing
  • Execute complete PCB design activities from data entry through fabrication file generation
  • Generate cost estimates to enable marketing quotations
  • Attend product development meetings and critical kick off meetings for initial product launches
  • Define & setup CAD package for off-shore design center.
  • Use Teamcenter to generate and manage:
  • Part numbers
  • Bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Perform QA inspections on final design data to ensure completeness and quality
  • Work closely with Simulation engineers to meet SI and PI requirements
  • Work closely with DFT engineers to resolve test access issues
  • Work closely with DFA engineers to resolve assembly issues prior to or during build
  • Work closely with DFM engineers to identify and resolve PCB fabrication process concerns
  • Create interface board CAD templates for customer use
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, off site meetings, or product validation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Must Have:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
