Position Summary

We’re seeking a full-time Senior Photographer & Social Media Specialist (official title: Senior Creative Direction Specialist I) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. NYA SZN is looking for someone to lead the brand’s visual content creation and social media execution for a fast-growing, design-led fashion brand within the SHEIN ecosystem. This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for a creative professional who is equally strong behind the camera and in driving social media growth. As NYA SZN scales its brand presence, elevated photography and consistent, strategic social storytelling are essential to increasing brand awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance. This role owns the end-to-end creation of visual content — from shoot execution through social publishing — ensuring NYA SZN’s brand is represented with consistency, quality, and momentum across platforms. The ideal candidate is a professional photographer with strong social media instincts, a commercial eye, and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced fashion environment. 

Job Responsibilities

Photography & Visual Content Creation

• Lead and execute brand photography for product drops, lifestyle shoots, campaigns, and social-first content
• Develop shot lists and content concepts aligned with seasonal brand direction
• Capture elevated, on-brand imagery that reflects NYA SZN’s premium aesthetic
• Edit and deliver high-quality photo and short-form video assets optimized for social platforms
• Build and maintain a growing content library for ongoing campaigns and storytelling
• Support content creation for events, behind-the-scenes moments, and brand activations as needed

Social Media Strategy & Execution

• Own NYA SZN’s social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
• Develop and execute a structured content strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth
• Plan, schedule, and publish content consistently across channels
• Translate photoshoots, launches, and brand moments into high-performing social content
• Monitor performance metrics and optimize content based on engagement, reach, and growth insights
• Engage with the brand’s community through comments, messages, and social interaction
• Stay current on platform trends, formats, and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Creative and Product teams to align content with seasonal drops, launches, and brand storytelling
• Ensure visual storytelling supports overall brand strategy and product priorities
• Contribute ideas for campaigns, content series, and ongoing brand storytelling initiatives
• Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding content timelines and deliverables

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional photography experience (fashion, lifestyle, or brand content preferred) and hands-on social media management or content strategy experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating elevated visual storytelling and technical proficiency
• Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok content formats and growth tactics
• Strong visual eye with commercial awareness
• Ability to manage content planning, execution, and publishing independently
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth brand environment

Nice to Have

• Short-form video editing skills
• Experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands
• Familiarity with social analytics and performance reporting
• Experience supporting influencer content or brand activations
