Senior Preconstruction Manager in Oklahoma City, OK

• $130,000+ Salary
• Direct Hire / Full-Time
• On-Site
• Occasional travel required, primarily throughout the Oklahoma City metro area with some domestic travel
• Seeking local candidates or candidates that are willing to relocate to the OKC Metro area

We are seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead complex preconstruction efforts while serving as a mentor and strategic resource to the broader team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all preconstruction activities, building strong client relationships, managing budgets, and ensuring successful project planning and execution before construction begins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary preconstruction representative to clients and project stakeholders
• Attend owner, architect, and contractor meetings while helping clients align project goals with budget expectations
• Develop conceptual budgets and perform value management analyses
• Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure accurate project cost budgeting
• Lead and facilitate preconstruction meetings and project status reporting
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen subcontractor relationships and networking efforts
• Assist with bid-day assignments and procurement strategies
• Review project cost reports, subcontract agreements, general conditions estimates, schedules, and below-the-line costs
• Assist with business development initiatives and client engagement strategies
• Ensure compliance with company standards, risk management policies, and business practices
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members while setting clear expectations for project performance
• Conduct quarterly check-ins and performance reviews for direct reports
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service and meeting critical deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• 12+ years of construction industry experience
• Strong conceptual estimating and budgeting expertise
• Proven experience delivering high-level preconstruction services to clients
• Strong understanding of construction operations, logistics, estimating, and takeoff software
• Working knowledge of Autodesk software
• Established networking presence within the construction community
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong math and accounting aptitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
