Job Description
Ibotta is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the product for our company-wide data & measurement stack. This hybrid business intelligence/product role will define, govern, and evangelize Ibotta’s canonical data model (or “semantic layer”) and drive delivery of the data and UX layers that enable consistent internal and external measurement. You’ll partner closely with Core Data Engineering, Analytics, Revenue/GTM, Portal and customer teams to translate business needs into prioritized data products and BI requirements. You will not be building reports, writing SQL, or analysis on doing day-to-day; they are not your responsibilities although inevitably you might do some of those. You’ll define the what, the why, and the governance “how” and work with business intelligence, analytics, and engineering counterparts to deliver.
What You Will Be Doing:
Own the enterprise analytic data model layer: definitions, grain, lineage, documentation, cataloging, versioning and discoverability for internal and external reporting
Lead metric stewardship and governance: align Revenue/GTM, Analytics, Product and external customers on consistent metric and dimension definitions
Define and prioritize data-layer products (data APIs, curated datasets/marts, materialized views) with SLAs and acceptance criteria
Specify BI/UX requirements for dashboards and reports: use cases, levels of aggregation, filters, personas and success metrics
Partner with the Portal team to ensure measurement consistency and unblock Portal roadmap dependencies
Maintain an outcome-driven roadmap and run cross-functional prioritization and change processes
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years product management experience with ownership of data products, analytics platforms, or BI products (Senior PM level)
Strong technical and analytics fluency in data modeling concepts (measures, dimensions, grain, lineage) and experience working with data engineering teams
Proven ability to align commercial teams and customers on metric definitions and measurement
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong at producing clear requirements and governance artifacts.
Demonstrated product judgment and comfort making tradeoffs under ambiguity
Experience owning a company-wide metrics registry or canonical data model
Familiarity with Looker/Tableau/Power BI and modern warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
Experience delivering API-driven data products or working in adtech/CPG/rewards environments
