Senior Product Manager - Cambridge, MA

Position Summary:

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to help deliver the next generation of AI-powered healthcare conversations through the Tom Conversation Platform.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product, you'll partner closely on product strategy while owning day-to-day execution for one or more platform capabilities. You'll translate product vision into clear requirements, collaborate closely with engineering and AI teams, and ensure high-quality delivery of features that improve the reliability, safety, and effectiveness of our conversational AI platform.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is passionate about bringing AI-powered experiences to production.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Product Execution

  • Partner with Product Leadership to translate product strategy and roadmap into actionable product requirements.
  • Own the product backlog for assigned platform capabilities.
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Refine work with engineering teams and support sprint planning.
  • Ensure features are delivered with a high level of quality and customer value.

AI Platform Delivery

Partner closely with Engineering, Prompt Engineering, AI, Clinical, and UX teams to deliver capabilities such as:

  • Conversation orchestration
  • Voice and messaging experiences
  • Agent tooling
  • Conversation memory
  • Tool integrations
  • AI safety guardrails
  • Evaluation and observability
  • Platform configuration

AI Quality

  • Define acceptance criteria for AI-powered features.
  • Partner with QA and engineering to evaluate AI performance.
  • Review conversation transcripts and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Help define success metrics including conversation quality, automation rates, customer experience, and safety.
  • Support experimentation and iterative improvements through prompt tuning and platform enhancements.

Customer Partnership

  • Participate in customer conversations to understand workflows and gather feedback.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Balance customer requests with scalable platform capabilities.
  • Support customer demonstrations and feature validation activities when needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work daily with Software Engineering, Prompt Engineering, Clinical, UX, and QA teams.
  • Remove ambiguity by answering product questions quickly.
  • Drive alignment across multiple teams throughout feature development.
  • Support release planning and readiness activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology or business-related field or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in Product Management and Product Owner roles leading software products from concept through launch and optimization, and 3+ years within healthcare, health technology, payer, provider, population health, value-based care, or regulated healthcare environments.
  • Technical understanding of AI systems, including LLMs, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or agentic AI concepts.
  • Demonstrated success prioritizing and delivering product roadmaps in agile environments with competing business, technical, and customer demands.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions, assess tradeoffs, and drive execution under tight timelines and evolving business requirements.
  • Strong technical acumen, including experience with software architectures, APIs, system integrations, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), mobile applications, and platform-based product ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience defining, launching, or enhancing AI-enabled products, including Generative AI, conversational AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and executive leaders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balance strategic and tactical work, and deliver measurable results in high-growth, fast-paced organizations.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing or producing conversational AI or voice AI products.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with established engineering teams, including Prompt Engineers or AI/ML Engineers.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Aha!, Miro, or similar tools.

Pay Transparency:

Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay rate include your specific skills, experience, qualifications, location, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.

The hiring range for this position is:

$143,190.00-$194,467.50
