Job Description

Who We Are

Workhelix is an enterprise SaaS company with a single goal: helping organizations get the most out of their AI investments.

Our people and software combine to give leaders answers to the three critical questions about the business value of AI:

  • Where are our top opportunities to create value with AI?
  • Are our current efforts actually delivering? What’s their ROI?
  • How can we accelerate and increase the benefits of our AI?

To find answers for each customer, Workhelix applies our unmatched expertise in economics, AI, and data science. We have pioneered a task-scoring method to identify top GenAI opportunities, ensuring clear, data-driven deployment strategies. Our ROI monitoring suite applies Nobel Prize-winning economics to provide accurate, ongoing insights into the impact of GenAI implementations. Renowned AI and Economics thinkers including Andrew Ng, and cofounders Andy McAfee and Erik Brynjolfsson stand proudly behind our mission.

We maintain a culture established on five key principles. For more information on our leadership principles, please visit the careers page of our website.

Role

Workhelix is looking for a Senior Product Manager based in the Bay Area who thrives at the intersection of complex data and elegant UX. This role is ideal for someone who has built products in experimentation platforms, analytics tools, or fintech environments — places where clarity, statistical rigor, and usability are non-negotiable.

You'll work directly with engineering, data science, and forward-deployed teams to translate noisy data into intuitive interfaces that help Fortune 500 customers understand and unlock productivity with GenAI. You'll own products that power core business value — particularly experimentation frameworks, metrics pipelines, dashboards, and AI-augmented insights.

We're looking for someone with exceptional product craft who's comfortable thinking from first principles and who thrives in a fast-moving, intellectually demanding, customer-obsessed environment.

You'll Be Successful in This Role If You:

  • Drive roadmap alignment — manage and evolve roadmaps across Workhelix's flagship product, ensuring they reflect top customer pain points and deliver measurable value.
  • Execute with rigor — keep cross-functional teams focused and accountable, consistently shipping high-quality features on time.
  • Right-size solutions — scope features effectively, shipping fast without overengineering while still fully addressing the customer problem.
  • Structure chaos — thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and bring clarity, process, and structure so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Close the feedback loop — proactively establish customer feedback channels and integrate insights into the development cycle to guide feature evolution.
  • Stay fluent in AI tooling — bring strong working knowledge of AI tools, both conceptually and practically, and apply them in your daily product work.

Key Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the product roadmap for data-intensive, insight-delivering features.
  • Prioritize product investments that balance short-term speed with long-term architectural and strategic integrity.
  • Partner with the Head of Product and CTO to define milestones, align on KPIs, and deliver measurable business value.

Platform Design

  • Lead development of Workhelix products used to measure GenAI impact.
  • Partner with data science to turn statistical models and economic insights into user-facing features.
  • Ensure statistical rigor in product designs — confidence intervals, control groups, etc. — without over-complicating the UX.
  • Partner with the Tech Lead to build out the platform integrations roadmap, enabling customer data ingestion.

User & Customer Discovery

  • Conduct deep discovery with technical end-users (e.g., engineering leaders, data scientists) to identify latent needs.
  • Translate abstract customer goals into structured problem statements, delightful solutions, and product specs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product requirements, user stories, and journey maps.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering and design on solutions that balance feasibility, usability, and complexity.
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and execution quality.
  • Partner with forward-deployed teams to ensure successful delivery and feedback integration.

Product Craft & Quality

  • Define intuitive ways to present complex metrics, statistical models, and benchmarks to senior leadership end users (C-Suite, SVP/VP, Directors, Heads of).
  • Drive consistency in interaction patterns across complex user workflows.
  • Establish and monitor product metrics and dashboards to track adoption and impact.

What We Value

  • Analytical thinkers who thrive in ambiguous environments and approach challenges with curiosity and rigor.
  • A customer-centric mindset, with a passion for translating complex data into software-led, actionable strategies.
  • Exercising good judgment on the minimum scope needed to delight customers, shipping quickly, and using customer feedback to iterate.
  • Reducing complexity and bringing simplicity to ambiguous or complex problems.
  • Team players with low ego and a strong desire to contribute to meaningful outcomes.
  • Proactive learners who adapt quickly and can guide, lead, and collaborate effectively.
  • Exceptional communicators who can engage with stakeholders at every level.

What You Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally including exposure to data-heavy products in experimentation, analytics, or fintech domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to own an end-to-end product lifecycle in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Strong product sense - the ability to identify customer problems worth solving and prioritize ruthlessly.
  • Comfort working with experimentation and analytics (A/B testing, statistical significance, metrics, funnels) to inform product decisions, and partnering with engineering/data teams on pipeline and dashboard topics.
  • A track record of strong cross-functional influence and excellent written communication.

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and user-centered design for technical audiences; you draw influence from Tufte's ideas.
  • Background in building developer tools or productivity platforms.
  • Fluency with SQL and comfort working in notebooks or prototyping with basic datasets.
  • Experience in a high-autonomy team environment.
  • Familiarity with economics or ROI measurement frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS tools and security/privacy considerations.
  • Prior exposure to GenAI products and/or AI-enhanced user interfaces.

Success milestones

30 days:

  • Ramped on the product and current backlog.
  • Embedded with the forward-deployed engineering (FDE) team.
  • Working rhythm established with the designer.

60 days:

  • Owns the request backlog and prioritization.
  • First improvements shipped.
  • Design-to-build loop running on one feature.

90 days:

  • Owns the existing product and incoming requests end-to-end
  • Shipping new features on a predictable cadence.

Pay range and compensation package $165,000- $200,000 + Equity + Health Benefits

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive compensation package and benefits.
  • Chance to learn and collaborate with some of the most famous researchers in the AI and digital economy space: Andrew Ng, Erik Brynjolfsson, Andy McAfee, and Daniel Rock.
  • The unique opportunity to help build a company, culture, and products from the ground up with a team that values healthy working practices.
  • A high-trust, high-autonomy work environment.
