Job Description

MELE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Management Analyst to support the NA-90 Office of the Chief of Staff. This position serves as support to senior leadership, providing strategic planning, program management, executive communications, and organizational coordination support across a portfolio of high-priority initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The selected candidate will operate in a fast-paced federal environment and work directly with senior executives, federal program managers, and stakeholders across the NNSA enterprise to drive mission execution, improve organizational effectiveness, and support leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and demonstrated experience managing complex projects, developing executive-level products, and leading cross-functional coordination efforts.

  • Support planning, execution, and monitoring of high-visibility initiatives supporting NA-90 leadership priorities
  • Support the development and implementation of project management strategies, schedules, milestones, performance measures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Recommend and support innovative approaches to enhance organizational effectiveness, project execution, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information sharing
  • Maintain centralized management of official correspondence requiring the review of DOE/NNSA's senior leadership. This includes eDOCS, directives, audits, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) cases. No expectation for sub-offices to have these functions within them
  • Develop written testimony and oral statements for senior NA-90 officials for events such as congressional hearings, and collaborate with the NA-90 offices to ensure consistency
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, project management, or government support
  • Experience using the eDocs system
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Demonstrated experience preparing briefings, reports, and presentations for senior audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Actively hold a DOE L or Q security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Experience supporting senior leadership in a federal environment
  • Prior experience working with or supporting NNSA or DOE programs
  • Strong analytical and reporting experience
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with federal project management and reporting processes

LOCATION: This is an on-site position in Albuquerque, NM or Washington, DC.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is 100-150k.
