Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) adhere to state approval processes in Title 5, Subtitle A, Section 1700 of the DCMR.
- Verify EPP compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Create resources providing clear guidance to EPPs on regulations.
- Coordinate technical assistance for programs not meeting OSSE standards.
- Write and review reports from state review visits.
- Implement the science of reading in teacher preparation programs.
- Assist in creating or implementing registered teacher apprenticeships.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 11+ years articulating technical terms and complex data clearly to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
- 5+ years leading clinical practices for education degree students.
- 11+ years with MS Office, MS Project, or other project management software.
- 11+ years in a university School or College of Education.
- 5+ years as Dean, Interim Dean, or Associate Dean focused on Education.
- 2+ years creating or implementing registered teacher apprenticeships.
- 5+ years developing published resources for educator preparation providers and teacher pipelines.
- Proficiency in Office 365.
- Native or bilingual English proficiency.
- Industry experience required.
