What you will do

  • Act as primary client contact for safety leadership
  • Manage on-call tasks from scope through closeout
  • Translate requests into clear plans, schedules, staffing, and deliverables
  • Oversee safety programs including SMS, Safety and Security Certification, and Risk-Based Inspection
  • Ensure alignment with FTA, OSHA, and industry standards
  • Lead audits, corrective actions, and hazard tracking
  • Manage teams, budgets, and timelines
  • Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Provide clear updates, reports, and executive summaries

What you bring

  • 10 plus years in safety, compliance, or program management
  • Experience in transit, transportation, infrastructure, or other regulated environments
  • Background in audits, inspections, or compliance programs
  • Strong project leadership and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of OSHA or FTA requirements
  • Experience with safety management systems and risk mitigation

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as CSP, ASP, PMP, SMS, or similar
  • Transit experience, including bus or rail
  • Familiarity with APTA or State Safety Oversight
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting, or audit tracking tools

Compensation

$55.29 - $74.52 Hourly, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
