Senior Programmer - Dover, DE

Duration: 8+ months, Onsite

Seeking for a Senior Programmer responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of enterprise applications managed by the Application Team. This role involves leading complex technical initiatives, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and providing guidance on system architecture and application design. The Senior Programmer collaborates with Functional Architects, Technical Architecture Specialists, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver scalable and reliable technology solutions that meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

Analyze business and technical requirements to design and develop application solutions.
Lead the design, coding, integration, testing, and deployment of complex enterprise applications.
Provide production support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems.
Ensure application design and code meet customer requirements, technical standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with Functional Architects and Technical Architecture Specialists to develop effective technical solutions.
Lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and modern development practices.
Review code and technical designs to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and performance.
Mentor and support team members by sharing technical expertise, industry standards, and development best practices.
Contribute to technical strategy, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
Advanced technical training or postgraduate study preferred.
10 years of professional experience in software development, application design, and enterprise systems.
Proven experience leading technical design and development efforts within complex enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on expertise in software development, system integration, and cross-platform technologies.
Experience working with emerging technologies and modern development frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

Enterprise application architecture and design.
Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
Application support and production troubleshooting.
Code review and quality assurance practices.
Team leadership and technical mentoring.
Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.

Experience Required: 10 years

Education:
