Job Details

As a Senior Project Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting complex manufacturing operations by partnering with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost visibility. You'll own critical accounting functions while helping improve processes and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

ResponsibilitiesManage project revenue and cost recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standardsReconcile customer contract backlog, contract assets, and contract liabilitiesTrack, reconcile, and analyze inventory balances and cost of salesSupport Estimate at Completion (EAC) cycles and project forecastingReview new customer contracts and apply revenue recognition guidanceEstablish project charge codes and maintain program setup within the ERP systemPrepare and post month-end journal entries related to revenue, cost of sales, and inventoryMaintain SOX-compliant documentation and support internal controlsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and increased automationCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and project management teams

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of project accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of inventory accounting and project costingExperience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsKnowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles preferredAbility to communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersSelf-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
