Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager

• Performs engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgement to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Develops plans, specifications and inspection reports as needed on assigned tasks to see that items are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practice.  Is technically involved in the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and detailed checking of design computations done by others or general coordination of specific design aspects of a project.
• Provides functional and technical direction to engineering staff members.
• Work with staff engineers and project managers to ensure projects are executed with strong financial performance related to multipliers, profit, and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with the Branch Manager in the development of business strategies related to proposal/project budgeting and cost.
• Mentor and coach project managers and staff on engineering and project management issues.
• Establish and foster relationships with clients.
• Provides input and financial acumen to pricing and costing of proposals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Self-driven, energetic, and motivated team player with the capability to effectively work on multiple projects/tasks.
• Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Professional Engineer registration in Washington.
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of progressive civil engineering design experience, with a blend of private and public sector projects.
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Must have demonstrated experience managing design teams on small and large complex planning or engineering projects.
• Must have demonstrated leadership experience in business development.
• Experience in strategic planning, market positioning, proposal preparation, client presentations, scope-schedule-fee estimates, contract negotiations, and risk management are a plus.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D 2014.
