Senior Project Manager (Technology / Software Delivery)Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex, high-impact technology solutions. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across technical teams and client stakeholders.

The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and has a proven track record of successfully delivering projects across the full software development lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & DeliveryLead and support one or more project teams to successfully deliver project outcomesPlan, monitor, and report on project performance to ensure alignment with defined objectives, timelines, and quality standardsManage overall project performance, including financials, schedule, and delivery quality

Scope & Change ManagementDefine, document, and maintain project scope in alignment with contractual requirementsManage scope changes and oversee change order processes

Project Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain comprehensive project management plansCreate and manage detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery

Financial ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and estimatesTrack financial performance and ensure alignment with project goals

Risk & Quality ManagementDevelop and maintain risk management plans, including risk registers and mitigation strategiesEnsure projects meet defined quality standards and compliance requirementsOversee document control processes and maintain accurate project records

Agile & Delivery ExecutionFacilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectivesLead requirements gathering, backlog tracking, and design discussionsManage scope, support UAT, and oversee deployments and documentation

Resource ManagementPerform resource planning and forecastingCoordinate day-to-day project activities across teamsCollaborate with engineering leadership to resolve resource and delivery challenges

Client Engagement & Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong and collaborative relationshipsLead client meetings, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project expectationsIdentify opportunities for additional work, enhancements, or new initiativesPartner with business development teams to support growth opportunities

Reporting & CommunicationMaintain and communicate project status to stakeholders, leadership, and third-party partnersProvide clear, consistent reporting on project progress, risks, and performance

Sales & Proposal SupportContribute to proposals, statements of work (SOWs), contracts, and related documentationSupport project scoping and planning activities for new business opportunities

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, Electrical), Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience managing full lifecycle IT/software development projectsExperience delivering multi-phase, multi-million-dollar projectsProven ability to lead cross-functional teams of 5–8+ membersStrong experience working in Agile development environments (2+ years)Familiarity with ITIL and operational management methodologiesPMP certification required; CSM certification is a plus

Skills & ExpertiseStrong project planning, organization, and execution skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage stakeholders and client relationshipsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with requirements management, UAT coordination, and deployment processesUnderstanding of business development and proposal processes

Preferred ExperienceExperience working in complex, technology-driven environments such as infrastructure, transportation systems, or enterprise platformsFamiliarity with software development technologies (e.g., Java) is a plus
