Job Description
This role supports the delivery of ground-up and renovation projects across K-12 and higher education facilities, partnering closely with project management and field teams to successfully execute complex work within active campus settings. Client Details
Our client is an established and expanding Chicago general contractor specializing in K-12 and higher education projects. With headquarters downtown and more than $30 million in annual revenue, the company has a strong backlog of secured work extending into 2027. Their project portfolio includes ground-up school construction, complex phased renovations, and work in active academic environments, as well as other institutional and public-sector projects.
Description
- Complete project estimates and support bid submissions
- Develop and track project budgets and schedules
- Perform detailed scope reviews for all trade packages
- Negotiate owner and subcontractor contracts
- Manage the full project closeout process, including financial closeout
- Supervise and mentor project staff
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction
- Must have solid estimating experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, management, or similar preferred
- Skilled in Procore, MS Excel, and MS Project
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor project teams
- Experience overseeing large-scale ground-up projects ($5M+)
