Job Description
Senior Project Manager
- Power Delivery ConstructionLead the planning and execution of complex transmission, substation, and power delivery construction projects from award through closeout. Manage projects ranging from 69kV-500kV, including greenfield and brownfield substations, transmission lines, switching stations, collector substations, and renewable interconnections. Direct multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and field teams. Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Maintain overall responsibility for project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing, change management, and profitability. Serve as the primary point of contact for utility clients, EPC partners, contractors, and executive stakeholders. Lead construction planning, outage coordination, constructability reviews, and field execution activities. Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement activities. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, utility standards, environmental requirements, and company safety policies. Mentor and provide leadership to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and project coordinators. Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts. Support business development by developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and participating in proposal efforts. - Power Delivery Construction should have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, substation, or power delivery projects. Demonstrated experience managing construction of high-voltage utility infrastructure projects. Experience overseeing projects from engineering through construction and commissioning. Strong understanding of utility construction methods, outage planning, contract administration, and project controls. Experience managing projects valued at $10M+. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
