Job Description

The Senior Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, occupancy goals, resident satisfaction, and team management of a multifamily residential community. This role requires a highly organized and experienced professional who can successfully manage property operations in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day property operations and ensure the community is maintained to company standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop onsite team members, including leasing, maintenance, and administrative staff.
  • Monitor property performance, occupancy, leasing activity, resident retention, and financial results.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and operating expenses.
  • Ensure rent collections, delinquency management, and revenue optimization.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, service contracts, and property improvement projects.
  • Manage resident relations and resolve escalated resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations and policies.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to leadership.
  • Support lease-up initiatives, redevelopment projects, capital improvements, and property transitions when applicable.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to achieve operational and financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5+ years of Property Management experience in multifamily housing.
  • Previous experience managing large residential communities.
  • Experience leading and developing onsite teams.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, occupancy management, and resident retention.
  • Experience with property management software systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Annual salary range: $75,000 to $80,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Occasional travel required, approximately 10% of the time, primarily domestic.
  • Daily on-site presence expected, with work in various locations no more than five miles apart.
  • Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, with potential weekend obligations as needed.
