Boiler Tube Company of America (BTA) is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Proposal Estimator to join our team in Lyman, SC. The Senior Proposal Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects related to boiler refurbishment and new installations, ensuring that proposals align with client specifications and budget constraints. Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive cost estimates for boiler projects based on customer specifications and project scope.
Analyze drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and scope of work.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams to gather relevant information for accurate estimations.
Research and assess material and labor costs to ensure bids are competitive and profitable.
Prepare and present proposals to management and clients, justifying estimates with detailed analysis.
Monitor and track project changes to adjust estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing, and best practices in estimating.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within the boiler, manufacturing, or construction industries.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, plans, and specifications.
Detail-oriented with a strong organizational and time management ability.
Familiarity with pricing trends, supplier relationships, and market conditions related to boiler parts and services.
