- Executive Leadership
- Develop, manage, and expand a high-value portfolio of agricultural and commercial lending relationships
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to agricultural producers, agribusiness owners, commercial customers, and rural landowners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, referral sources, business leaders, and community stakeholders throughout the region
- Identify opportunities for new business development, portfolio growth, and expanded customer relationships
- Structure, negotiate, and present complex lending solutions tailored to customer needs
- Analyze financial statements, repayment ability, collateral, operational performance, and overall credit risk
- Conduct on-site farm visits, business visits, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and better understand operations
- Maintain strong knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity trends, farm operations, rural economies, and commercial lending environments
- Collaborate with internal credit and leadership teams to ensure sound underwriting, risk management, and portfolio administration
- Represent River Valley Ag Credit professionally within the community through networking, industry involvement, and relationship-building activities
- Assist in mentoring and supporting less experienced lenders and team members when appropriate
- Maintain compliance with all applicable lending regulations, internal policies, and Association standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Significant experience in agricultural lending, commercial banking, relationship management, portfolio management, or business development
- Strong understanding of agricultural operations, agribusiness, and rural financial markets preferred
- Proven ability to build, manage, and grow substantial customer portfolio
- Established community and professional relationships within the region strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Knowledge of Farm Credit System operations and agricultural finance principles preferred
- Leadership presence with the ability to work independently and strategically within a growing organization
