Position Summary
The Senior Rewinder is a highly skilled technician responsible for inspecting, disassembling, rewinding, reassembling, and testing a wide range of electromechanical equipment. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and experience in EASA-accredited environments.
In addition to hands-on work, the Senior Rewinder serves as a mentor and quality leader, supporting team development and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Complete and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) documentation and procedures.
- Perform precise rewinding of AC/DC motors, stators, armatures, coils, and other components.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment for stripping, winding, burn-out, varnishing, and testing.
- Follow all technical procedures and company standards for rewinding and repair operations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and cross-training programs.
- Mentor and train junior rewinders and apprentices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to support efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- RWD 3 Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- ERT (Emergency Response Team) Certification
- Associate Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Technology
- Minimum 10 years of external electromechanical repair experience
- Minimum 5 years in an EASA-accredited shop
- 100% mechanical aptitude test score
- Proficiency with computers for QA documentation, data entry, and diagnostics
