Title: Senior Security Automation EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Security Automation Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade security automation that reduces manual effort, suppresses operational noise, and accelerates cyber defense outcomes. This role focuses on hands-on automation engineering across identity, endpoint, cloud, network, and data security domains. The successful candidate will build safe, auditable, and production-ready automation workflows that integrate across security platforms and enterprise systems.Required QualificationsBachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field6+ years of experience in security engineering or security automationStrong experience building production-grade automation systemsProficiency in scripting or programming (Python, PowerShell, or similar)Solid understanding of: Security operations workflowsAlert enrichment and suppressionContainment and response patternsExperience working with APIs, services, and distributed systemsAbility to design automation that is safe, explainable, and auditablePreferred QualificationsExperience integrating automation across IAM, endpoint, cloud, network, and data platformsFamiliarity with workflow or orchestration platforms (e.g., ITSM, ticketing, or orchestration engines)Experience designing rollback, TTL, and staged enforcement modelsExposure to AI-assisted workflows where automation consumes decision outputsExperience building dashboards or metrics for automation outcomesWhat Success Looks LikeDelivery of production-ready automation that measurably reduces analyst workloadSuppression of alert and ticket noise through effective automation patternsReusable automation frameworks adopted across multiple security domainsAutomation actions that are trusted due to strong logging, safety controls, and transparencyRecognition as a senior engineer who enables scalable, enterprise-safe automationNote:100% remote.West Coast candidates(not preferred)ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement security automation workflows that reduce manual intervention across security domainsBuild integrations using APIs and services to execute guardrail-enforced security actionsDevelop automation that operationalizes detection, enrichment, suppression, and containment workflowsExtend automation into enterprise workflow systems where orchestration or approvals are requiredImplement safety controls including:Kill switchesDry-run and test modesTime-limited actionsStaged deployments (development, testing, production)Ensure observability and auditability by logging automation actions with correlation identifiersCreate reusable automation patterns, connectors, and frameworks that scale across teamsCollaborate with security engineers, platform engineers, and data scientists to deliver integrated solutionsMentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices
