Job Description

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our security organization, responsible for architecting and scaling our defenses across Application Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security Operations (SecOps). However, we aren't looking for someone to run legacy security scanners or manually triage alerts and logs. We need a leader who will help us build the foundations where security challenges are understood, contextualized, and remediated by AI tools and agentic systems. If you are excited by the prospect of deploying a fleet of sub-agents to solve security issues or engineering intelligent agentic systems using cutting-edge tools and frameworks, this role is for you!

Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office four days a week.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will:

  • The Agentic Governance Problem: How do we safely deploy autonomous agents across a production environment? You will help lead the design of an Agentic Security Gateway - a control plane for autonomous systems that ensures agents operate within strict authorization boundaries, audit trails and safety guardrails
  • Architect Agentic Loops: Manual vulnerability management doesn't scale. You will help define the strategy for using techniques such as Ralph loops or GSD and iterative reasoning to not only identify flaws but to autonomously verify and remediate them across our codebase and infrastructure.
  • The Context Gap: You will explore how to use Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar protocols to bridge the gap between our telemetry data and our agentic fleet, ensuring our agentic systems have the "high-fidelity sight" needed to make decisions.
  • Orchestrate Deep Agents & Sub-Agents: Develop the framework for launching specialized sub-agents. You'll define "Skills" that allow a lead security agent to delegate tasks (e.g., deep data-flow analysis or IAM policy least-privilege auditing) to specialized, high-context sub-modules.
  • Autonomous Remediation: Engineer the "paved road" where AI agents don't just alert us to a problem; they submit a verified, tested, and secure-by-default Pull Request that solves it.
  • Scaling SecOps & Response: Alert fatigue is a systemic risk. You'll help us reimagine the SOC by determining how specialized sub-agents and deep-reasoning loops can be used to investigate incidents and gather forensics before a human is even notified.

What makes you a great fit?

  • The Agentic Mindset: You don't just use ChatGPT; you understand how to build and chain agents. You know the difference between a simple prompt and a complex agentic workflow involving tool-calling and multi-step reasoning.
  • Deep AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience with Cursor, Claude Code, Open Code, Gemini CLI, Kiro CLI or Codex and you understand how to leverage MCPs to give AI "eyes" into your infrastructure.
  • The Gateway Mindset: You understand that autonomous agents are the future, but they require a "trust but verify" architecture. You are obsessed with how to securely preface agentic actions with governance layers to prevent non-deterministic failures.
  • Engineering Roots: You are a coder at heart with a strong security foundation. You speak the language of engineering teams and prefer building a custom agentic skill to solve a recurring architectural flaw rather than buying a legacy SaaS tool.
  • Curiosity as a Core Competency: The AI landscape changes every 48 hours. You are the person who stays up late reading about new "deep agent" frameworks and Ralph loop optimizations just because it's cool.
