About the Role — Senior Software Engineer As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will:- Lead and own large parts of the product, taking features from ideation to implementation and scaling- Balance frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python) responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the team to deliver impactful experiences for millions of users- Work in a hybrid model (San Francisco office, 3 days in-office), with potential consideration for NYC-based candidatesResponsibilities- Lead frontend development, building delightful UI/UX for millions of daily page views- Build and maintain backend systems in Python- Work with SQL and Postgres for data modeling and queries- Scope and implement product features in a fast-paced startup environment- Collaborate cross-functionally to design end-to-end systems- Own products from concept to productionRequirements- 3–10 years software engineering experience, preferably at startups- Strong TypeScript skills for React frontend- Strong Python backend experience- Experience with SQL and Postgres- Customer-centric mindset with empathy for creators- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and scope solutions with teammates- Experience leading and owning large features end-to-endVisa Support: H-1B, O-1, OPT availableGreen Flags (Strong Matches)- Firebase experience- Flask backend experience- Experience with design tools like Figma- Prior experience building high-scale products (millions of daily page views)- Strong CS fundamentals and pedigreeRed Flags (Avoid)- Poor work-life balance concerns- Frequent job hopping- Exclusively large tech company background- Primarily contract or temporary work experienceCompensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $180K – $220K- Competitive Equity (standard 4-year vesting, 1-year cliff)- 4 weeks PTO + federal holidays- Platinum medical, vision, dental (99% employer-paid)- 401(k) retirement plan- Gym and professional development stipends- Computer, monitor, home office setup reimbursement- Relocation assistance to SF or NYIdeal Companies- Figma
