About the Opportunity
A cutting-edge, venture-backed startup based in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Product Engineering team. This high-growth organization is building advanced AI infrastructure to automate complex, mission-critical workflows across industries like healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.
As a Product Engineer, youll play a key role in designing and building next-generation applications and tools that dramatically improve how businesses execute internal processes. Youll work on meaningful challenges, influence product direction, and contribute to a platform at the forefront of AI and workflow automation.

What Youll Do
Lead development of large-scale, user-facing application features across the full stack.
Design and implement systems that balance usability, scalability, and maintainability.
Enhance platform tooling on both front-end and back-end components.
Build secure, scalable APIs, middleware, and authentication services.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align system improvements with product vision.
Drive best practices in engineering, including testing, documentation, and code quality.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Python
Strong experience across both frontend and backend development
Track record of shipping high-quality, production-grade software
Passion for clean architecture, performance optimization, and great user experiences
Ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week in San Mateo, CA
Preferred Attributes
Experience contributing to fast-paced startup environments
Deep interest in emerging technologies and infrastructure powering AI systems
Desire to own projects end-to-end and collaborate in a mission-oriented team
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $170,000 $250,000(commensurate with experience)
