Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work withcutting-edgetools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.

Partof a flagshipLitera productteam,you willparticipatein the full SDLC from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. This role includes building high quality and fully performing software that meets quality and software development standards alongsidea great team.

A Day in the Life/Role Responsibilities:

  • Active contributor tothecodebase

  • Refactor existing software

  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features

  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases,usabilityand general reliability

  • Ability to work independently without instructions on most tasks

  • Strong teamplayer who is open to give and receive feedback 

  • A passion for technology and thrives in a dynamic environment with a focus on creative innovation over absolute completion

  • Work in an Agile software development environment (e.g.Scrum, Kanban),participatingincommitment,retrospectiveand planning meetings

  • Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as

  • Participate in requirements reviews

  • Applygenerally accepteddevelopment and quality assurancestandards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation

  • Able to contribute todesign anddecision making in all areas

  • Useagentic tools effectively

Role Progression:

Within 1 month, you will:

  • CompletetheLiteraonboarding process

  • Familiarize yourself with the team's processes and best practices to ensure streamlined ways of working

  • Familiarize yourself with our AI tools and AI-first approach to development

  • Become a working member of a product team

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Become proficient with the existing product,codebase, and technologies(including agentic tools)

  • Understand strengths and weaknesses of the current product architecture and be able toparticipateina discussion onnext steps

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Gain expert knowledge ofsome areas of thecodebase and underlying technologies

  • Shareyour knowledge as needed and contribute to the overall development of the team and product

About You:Qualifications and Traits

  • Bachelor’s Degreein Computer Scienceor similar discipline

  • 6+ years of experience using a modern object-oriented language (C#required)

  • 2+years experiencewithSQL, EF, LINQ

  • Experiencewithfrontendweb frameworks (e.g. React, Angular,Durandal, Knockout)

  • Experienceincrafting robust scalable APIs

  • ExperienceinSaaS softwaredevelopment

  • Experiencewith Cloud technologies (Azure preferred)

  • Experience modernizingcomplex SaaS products

  • Experience with AI tooling and/or Agenticdevelopment

  • Some experience with Lucene, OpenSearch,Elasticsearch, or similar searchservices

  • Good communicationand presentation skills

Pay Transparency Notice for Colorado Applicants:

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan.

In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.#LI-Hybrid
