Senior Software/Firmware Engineer

Position Summary

  • We're looking for a rare combination: a Senior Software Engineer with solid C# expertise who also has hands-on embedded systems experience. This is primarily an on-site position with occasional work-from-home flexibility; we are unable to sponsor visas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full C# development lifecycle — requirements capture, task estimation, implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Interface C# applications with embedded devices (Modbus experience is a strong plus, motor related work a strong plus)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows for the C# application
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers
  • Contribute to embedded C firmware development, reviews, testing and debugging when not focused on C# work
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional software/firmware engineering experience
  • Solid proficiency in C# application development across the full SDLC
  • Experience interfacing software with embedded devices, preferably Modbus or similar multi-drop serial interface
  • Experience in a technical lead or team lead capacity
  • Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows

Preferred:

  • Embedded C development background (FreeRtos a strong plus)
  • Automated system verification testing experience (strong plus)
  • Background in field support or sustaining engineering
  • Comfort with electromechanical assemblies and common lab tools
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and across physically separated offices (different time-zones)

Benefits:

We have created a community at Infinitum, where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is working together to achieve our goals.

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage (Medical/Dental/Vision)
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) – includes employer contributions.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) & Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account
  • 401(k) – Traditional and Roth
  • Stock Options
  • Open Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 12 Paid Holidays
  • Potential Relocation Assistance
  • Flexible schedule – including hybrid possibilities
  • Company Paid Lunch on Fridays
  • Community Give-back Opportunities
