Senior Software Product Manager

Description -

Senior Product Manager – Windows Native Touchpoints

HP Inc. – Consumer Experience Platform

Overview

HP is redefining the role of the PC in consumers’ digital lives. We are building a next-generation consumer engagement platform that transforms HP devices into intelligent companions that deliver personalized recommendations, services, and experiences throughout the Windows ecosystem.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and scaling of new consumer-facing experiences embedded directly within the Windows environment on HP PCs. This role will help establish HP as a digital lifestyle coordination platform by building new touch points across the Windows interface — including applications, widgets, system-level integrations, and contextual services that connect users to relevant content, utilities, and services.

This position requires a product leader who deeply understands the Windows platform, PC architecture, and Microsoft ecosystem guidelines, and can translate that knowledge into scalable product opportunities that engage users meaningfully throughout their PC lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a zero-to-one builder, capable of identifying opportunities within the Windows OS surface area and creating new, compliant, user-first solutions that seamlessly integrate into the PC experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and execute the product vision for HP’s Windows-based engagement platform, identifying new opportunities to integrate services directly into the PC experience.

  • Develop innovative Windows-native touchpoints including widgets, applications, notifications, contextual services, and OS integrations that deepen HP’s relationship with users.

  • Identify user pain points, behavioral signals, and ecosystem opportunities across the PC lifecycle (setup, daily productivity, entertainment, device management, upgrades, and services).

  • Translate insights from first-party telemetry, market research, and consumer trends into scalable product strategies.

Windows Platform & PC Ecosystem Integration

  • Serve as the product authority on Windows ecosystem opportunities, including:

    • Windows widgets and dashboard experiences

    • Desktop and system-level applications

    • Notifications and contextual surfaces

    • Device services and background utilities

    • Integration points within Windows UI surfaces

  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure products follow Microsoft design guidelines, Windows platform policies, and performance standards.

  • Understand and leverage PC hardware capabilities (battery, performance, sensors, connectivity, device management features) to unlock new experiences.

  • Evaluate how HP services can integrate with Windows OS flows while remaining seamless, privacy-conscious, and user-first.

Product Development & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration.

  • Define product requirements, specifications, and success metrics.

  • Drive product roadmaps aligned with HP’s broader consumer experience platform strategy.

  • Lead cross-functional teams including:

    • Engineering

    • UX & Design

    • Data Science

    • Marketing

    • Business Development

    • Legal & Compliance

    • Finance

    • Regional product teams

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality experiences that meet technical standards, performance expectations, and user needs.

Platform & Capability Building

  • Build and scale foundational platform capabilities that enable a wide range of consumer experiences across HP devices.

  • Design systems that support:

    • Personalization

    • Recommendations

    • Context-aware services

    • Content distribution

    • Engagement and lifecycle messaging

  • Ensure solutions can operate globally across multiple markets and regulatory environments.

Data, Growth & Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs and success metrics for engagement, retention, and business performance.

  • Analyze first-party data, user behavior, and product analytics to improve user experiences.

  • Design and implement A/B testing frameworks and experimentation programs to validate product improvements.

  • Identify monetization opportunities and scalable business models within the consumer experience platform.

Go-To-Market & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Partner with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, communications, and growth initiatives.

  • Produce clear product documentation, strategy decks, and executive updates for leadership and stakeholders.

  • Align global and regional teams on product direction, priorities, and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer-facing products.

  • Proven track record of launching 0 → 1 digital products and scaling them successfully.

  • Deep understanding of the Windows ecosystem, including OS-level integrations, application frameworks, and user experience guidelines.

  • Familiarity with PC hardware capabilities and device-level software interactions.

  • Experience building engagement-driven products such as media platforms, retail experiences, content services, or digital marketplaces.

  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and modern product management practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across global organizations.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence executives and technical teams alike.

  • Strong business acumen and experience identifying scalable business models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing Windows-native applications or widgets.

  • Background working with device manufacturers, PC platforms, or operating system ecosystems.
