Senior Specialist QA - I (Assistant)

JSG is recruiting a Senior Specialist QA - I (Assistant) for our client in Durham NC. In this vital role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within our environmental monitoring and quality control assays, supporting life-changing medicines that reach patients worldwide. Availability to work 1st shift hours, typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on environmental monitoring needs. Positions require weekend shifts, with specific schedules including Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-SaturdayPy $31.41/hour What You'll Do:

• Conduct environmental and microbiological monitoring, including water systems and active air sampling, to uphold our rigorous quality standards.*
• Perform release testing such as sterility, residual moisture, and cell dry weight assessments, supporting our manufacturing processes.*
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, process improvements, and prepare detailed reports that influence quality assurance.*
• Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and cGMPs, ensuring all activities meet regulatory standards.*
• Support continuous process enhancements and participate in interdepartmental committees to foster quality culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• An associate’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory or pharmaceutical experience, or a bachelor's degree in the same fields.*
• Strong understanding and application of GLPs and cGMPs.*
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and environmental monitoring.*
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.*
• Experience with LIMS, SAP, or other laboratory/production software systems.

• Ability to work in a highly regulated environment that demands meticulous attention to detail and compliance.
